For Philip, recruiting is in his blood. He is a second generation engineering recruiter with over 20 years in the business.  Philip has enjoyed a career in recruiting, account management and as a senior executive. As the industry changed, Philip saw the opportunity to create a truly unique recruiting experience for the in-demand engineering market. He took this opportunity to create Modern Technical Staffing in 2009. With MTS, Philip has brought together a team of passionate staffing professionals who understand the engineering market. With Philip’s leadership, MTS will continue to grow as a leading provider of staffing services to the engineering market.

Raymond joined MTS in 2016, excited to be part of the recruiting industry. Coming from a marketing background, he found his interest for recruiting in HR. Since then, he has pursued recruiting as his career full time. Armed with a relentless pursuit to succeed, he can find a match for your experience and skill set.

Raymond holds a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from the University of Toronto. On his spare time, he enjoys power-lifting and catching up with old friends.

Gita has been with Modern Technical since 2020.Coming from a retail background she over 13 years experience in both Business/Search/Talent in Engineering and Construction.

Her expertise is in placing highly skilled individuals in the Architectural and Construction domain.

She holds a Bachelor’s in Economics.

In her spare time she enjoys watching television, shopping and hosting friends.

Cormac joined MTS in September 2021 after cutting his teeth in recruitment with Randstad Canada, where he spent his time specializing in construction roles across British Columbia. He brings a passion for account management, with extensive experience in sales and strategic account management, and is driven by success and building mutually rewarding business relationships.

Cormac holds a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Design and moved to Vancouver in 2009 from his hometown of Dublin, Ireland.

He loves to spend his free time with his newborn son, or on the golf courses of Beautiful British Columbia.

Melanie is a new addition to the MTS family.  She has 14 years of experience working in a non-profit organization, helping youth and adults find employment. Her experience lies in recruitment performing outreach and building relationships.

Melanie’s strength is in B-2-B sales where she has worked closely with Fortune 500 companies, targeting CEO’s and Executives and has been the front person in the negotiation process among North American and in international markets.

Melanie holds a Bachelor of Arts in History & Political Science from the University of Toronto.

In her spare time Melanie is an avid restorer of wicker furniture.  She is a talented cook/baker and has a special relationship with all animals.  In addition, she makes one-of-kind jewellery that has been sold internationally.
